Are we heading to FBI-gate?

January 19, 2018 --

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes announced, January 3rd, that the Justice Department and FBI agreed to produce documents, and witnesses, relating to the Steele dossier, subpoenaed by the committee last August -- four months ago.

The witnesses include former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, FBI Supervisory Special Agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page. LPR wonders if the witnesses will be forthcoming in testimony -- or recalcitrant. The anti-Trump views of Strzok and Page were made public last month.

Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS, which hired Steele to get Russian dirt on then candidate Trump, with funding from the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. If it turns out that the Trump-Russia collusion story was partisan "fake news," manufactured prior to the election to put the Trump campaign under surveillance, and maintained thereafter to conceal wrongdoing, how could the damage to the FBI and Justice Department not be enormous -- if, that is, the previous administration

indeed conspired with the Democrats and elements in the intelligence community to block the election of Donald J. Trump.
