At Fannie Mae there has occurred a problem in accounting

With sudden concern about losses mounting


How did a 9- billion dollar profit disappear?

And former Fannie Mae head Franklin Raines

Is to get a package to ease his pains

Including $114 thousand a month -- oh what cheer

This is not to begrudge Mr. Raines

But as he receives his severance gains

It's more than most of us make in a year.


With the establishment it's not how but when

Amassing large sums -- there they go again

We outsiders just take note and have one more beer
