The Song of the Left
Reality is what we say it is
Our arrogance is boundless as our quest for power
It's no matter whether we are right or wrong
All that counts is to make Republicans cower
We know what's best for young and old
That's why our our reach for power is uninhibited
Our difficulty with the Constitution, if truth be told
is that it calls for government to be limited

The Lament of a Founding Father
Madison must be sad and perplexed
by the Congressional exemption from Obamacare
Liberty's muscles no longer flexed
against a tyrant emerging from his lair
Madison never thought in democracy's cause
the American people would tolerate unequal laws
The people's love of liberty, transformed into air
Congress has exempted itself from Obamacare |
