Where is the NFL Commissioner on this?

February 5, 2023 --

The Empire State Building (Fifth Ave. and 34th Street) was bathed in the colors of the Philadelphia Eagles, January 29, after the Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers to reach the Super Bowl as champion of the National Football Conference. Sad to relate, New Yorkers, led by the New York Post, including politicians, among them Gov. Hochul, howled in outrage. Shame on anyone who opposes an expression of simple, ordinary good sportsmanship.

This article in the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the city's great landmark also was bathed in the colors of the Kansas City Chief, after the Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals to reach the Super Bowl as champion of the American Football Conference.

LPR would like to see the Empire State Building bathed in the colors of the Buffalo Bills, next year -- the only NFL team that plays its home games in the Empire State.

Meanwhile, let the 102-storey landmark -- constructed in just one year, you should know -- show the colors of the winner of the Super Bowl, the second Sunday night in February.
