Observations - April 2023

April 19, 2023 --

From Llyod Billingsley, "Boston Bombing Backstory," American Greatness, April 14:

"A year and a half before the [Boston Marathon] bombing, the FBI ignored warnings from Russia about the Tsarnaevs’ terrorist connections."

No doubt, U.S. intel dismissed the Russian warnings as "disinformatsia."

To be denounced by this notorious liar is high praise indeed…

From Breitbart, April 15

Brennan: Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘Not Fit to Hold Public Office’

LPR wonders ...

... that when the media regards the abnormal as normal, it must reflect a mindset that considers the normal to be abnormal.

Indicating the truth about New York City…

That, other than LPR and a few others, there are no true Republicans there.

(From The Hill,March 24)

“Alvin Bragg is caught between a rock and a hard spot,” said Susan Del Percio, a longtime New York-based Republican strategist who has opposed Trump. “He had to bring the charges forward because of public pressure, but he isn’t sure if they’ll stick.”

A Question for Gov. Desantis…

Why, sir do you attack former president Trump and, by doing so, reject President Reagan's Eleventh Commandment for Republicans?

Follow-up question: Would you refuse to serve in a second Trump administration as attorney-general, and, in that key position, help Mr. Trump to end the Deep State's stranglehold on the country?

Gov. DeSantis for president -- in due course …

This link cites the explanation from Gov. DeSantis why he is not interested in being Trump's vice president for the 2024 election.

As LPR sees it, with President Trump back in the White House, Gov. DeSantis will be needed as attorney general to put the Deep State to flight, once and for all. Eventually DeSantis will be president.

From a presidential proclamation that has lost all sense of normalcy…

"Transgender Americans shape our Nation’s soul"

The indictment of former president Trump…

From a prosecutor who has lost all sense of political proportion

Trump judge must have a very heavy schedule …

He set December 4 as the next court date for the former president.

That is a full eight months away, and the better to affect the 2024 presidential campaign?

How about them Huskies!

LPR congratulates Coach Dan Hurley and his UCONN Huskies on defeating San Diego State, 76 - 59, to win the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, ending the 2022-2023 season the best team in the land. This is UConn's fifth national championship and the first for Coach Hurley -- the first of several more, perhaps. With their sixth straight win in the tournament, the Huskies increased their accumulated margin of victory to 120 points, or 20 points per win. Therefore, for this tournament, it is fair to say, there were the Huskies -- and the rest of the field, Good luck next season Huskies.

The New York Times Propaganda Mill in Action…

Michael Crowley, in this March 29 article--

… accused former President Trump of "authoritarian tendencies."

Only a political imbecile would believe that. An anti-democracy Democrat would issue the lie knowing it is a falsehood.

A Deceptive Headline at the New York Post…

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon to be deposed over bank’s Jeffrey Epstein ties

Dimon will be deposed as part of a lawsuit alleging that JPMorgan profited from Epstein’s sex trafficking activities.

Apparently CEO Dimon will be questioned, not dismissed.

A propos of nothing at all …

Here is the Wikipedia article on perhaps Hollywood's greatest tearjerker: the Deborah Kerr / Cary Grant movie, "An Affair to Remember," including informtion on its Irene Dunne / Charles Boyer predecessor.

LPR has a hunch that this Chopinesque Harry Warren melody was a factor in the need to have tissues at the ready while watching this movie.
