At about the time the Feds were raiding Mar-a-Lago, August 8, the battery in my 2-year old Swatch watch began to run down. Thinking to give some business to a local merchant I had the battery replaced, at a cost of $10. Next day, the watch was going even slower. I realized I needed to go to a Swatch store. Taking my comatose Swatch to the outlet at Broadway and 45th Street, a Swatch agent performed the needed surgery. After I asked what the cost was, she said, "No charge, it's free." A good reason to bring a Swatch watch to a Swatch outlet for battery replacement, don't you think?

New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick recently suggested that the NFL bring some class to the Super Bowl halftime show by having the great international pianist Khatia Buniatishvili oerform Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," with a symphony orchestra, at halftime of the game that LPR hopes will pit the Buffalo Bills against Tom Brady's team.
