Observations - June 2008

JUNE 23, 2008 --

LPR has a hunch …

If McCain becomes president, he will offer a cabinet post to Joe Lieberman -- State or Defense.

Double Bubble Trouble

Credit card interest up stocks are down

Could there be a  a connection

Manipulation gives  cause to frown

When next there  comes the correction

Banks and Big Oil

Renewed symbols of greed

Ordinary people  toil

Leaders don't lead

'Tis summer

‘Tis summer and the sprigly goo rells upon  the sand

An ipsy hurdling  gottling disrupts the marching band

Somewhere a gurgle smiling, professing innocence

And jumping mugloos in their suites inhale acrid incense

Forget the grabe and Lewis,  rabbits and the rest

The murgid break is nearing and ever will attest

the sprowl of the meter, the curving of the rhyme,

the fueling of the heater,  the sanctity of time

A Plea to Oil and Stock Market
Analysts

In view of the sidelining of Tiger Woods from the golf tour for the remainder of 2008, LPR offers the following:

Don't tell us please
that Tiger Woods's knees
have had adverse economic force

Leading to hooks and slices
on oil and stock prices
until he again competes on a golf course

A Quiet Meeting Between Candidates?

Wouldn't it be something if inside Sen Feinstein's house

Senators  Clinton and Obama were quiet as a mouse

Reportedly they were all alone, of aides they were bereft

What if they spent the time in separate rooms, did not talk and then just left?
