If the Russiagate argument falls, does the 25 Amendment approach rise?

January 19, 2018 --

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, last February 19, wrote: "[T]he cleanest and quickest way to remove a president involves Section 4 of the 25th Amendment and has never been attempted. It provides that the cabinet can, by simple majority vote, strip the president of his powers and immediately hand power to the vice president. If the president objects, the House and Senate must each support ouster by two- thirds vote." Apparently this is where the mental stabil.ity argument would come to the fore.

A leading anti-Trumpist, Dr. Bandy LKee, a psychiatrist at Yale School of Medicine, was quoted in The New York Times, January 7, as calling for "something" to be "done," about President Trump who, , she indicated, has "'terrified'" her.

Dr. Lee has come under criticism for diagnosing the president without not examined him LPR wonders if Democrats will arrange for Dr. Lee to attend the State of the Union Address, so she could say that her observations are now based on personal evaluation.
