D. R. ZUKERMAN, proprietor
The Fever

MAY 14, 2004 --

E.Z. (Zed) Pine appeared in Wallace Shawn's one-man, one-act play, "The Fever" at the Milton Hall, in Litchfield, CT on May 8. The protagonist wakes up ill, in a foreign country, aware of an execution about to take place, and reflects on his life, his friends, social justice for the next hour and forty minutes.

Mr. Pine, who would be a magnificent Lear, performs the play without fee, for groups, according to the program notes, "working for a just, equitable, and sustainable society." This performance was directed by Normi Noel and produced by Sarah Webb. There is a $100 charge for use of the rustic Milton Hall on the Milton Green. Proceeds of this performance were given to the American Friends Service Committee's Iraq medical relief project.

Groups interested in using this play as a fundraiser should contact Mr. Pine at ezpine@bigfoot.com.

The accompanying photos show Mr. Pine during the performance, the Milton Hall, and the actor about to leave, looking at Shana who is standing next to Ms. Webb.
