The War's Second Front

While Washington grapples against terrorist groups galore

Somebody has effectively declared economic war

Selecting as weapon of economic disruption

record crude oil prices and this instruction:

We will squeeze you dry and go the bank

and laugh with each gallon you put in the tank

While your presidential candidates accuse each other of lies

Our manipulation of oil prices is this October's surprise

We will continue the squeeze and make America squirm
And let the name Bush stand for a presidential one-term

We will behead your economy and destroy all your power

Look at America, not even the will left to glower

With each oil price hike we hold America to scorn

Showing all mankind your country is wretched and worn

Yes -- each record high oil price is America's humiliation

There is more than one way for us to enjoy jubilation

How sure are we to bring America to its knees?

Because using the oil weapon we do as we please
